Delft, Holland 1665. Seventeen-year-old Griet must work to support her family and becomes a maid in the house of Johannes Vermeer, where she gradually attracts the master painter's attention. Johannes and Griet must hide their inspiration of each other from his volatile wife Catharina. I believe that the family was horrible and they used the hell out of poor gullible grete for their own selfish reasons and tosatisfy that pervert who bought the paintings and having that family at his mercy because he had money and they were his puppets if you will and grete was pulled also...used then thrown out like trash.?
