2020平安夜，大雨滂沱，白色圣诞临门一脚变成了绿色圣诞。奇特的平安夜，drive-through, 偌大的停车场，井然有序的车辆，2米宽一个车位，车里有专门的频道可以听，看大银幕上熟悉的人们，站在家门口说圣诞快乐。雨很大，看着雨中指挥停车的自愿者John，大声喊他，谢谢他，并祝他圣诞快乐。他每年敞开大门邀请大家去他家平安夜, 孩子们在他后院里自制的溜冰场打冰球，大人们聊天喝酒的场景。今昔何夕，无论如何，黑暗不会长久，长夜之后，黎明一定会来……
2020，每一天，都在见证历史，病毒，BLM, ANTIFA, 十月惊奇，JB午夜曲线……Cancel culture, cancel Christmas, Big Reset。 开始，常常看CBC local 新闻跟踪每天的数据，某一天，集体下跪后，袜子君也跟着跪下，打开CBC 的网站，第一个跳出来的主持，是一个非裔男子。后来每次打开网页，第一个看见的就是这个面孔，我对他个人没有任何好恶，不评价。想起今年因为疫情，大规模裁员的情况下，居然奇迹般专门雇了一个B进管理层。想起白卷根正苗红上大学的故国荒唐岁月，突然失去了再跟踪这些数据的兴趣。
风气云涌的岁月，人类在往一个可怕的方向狂奔，螳臂当车的人们，正在被无情碾压。太多想扮上帝的势力，可惜他们不是。
还好，不管怎样，知道谁掌控明天。
