My six year old wrote a book report for his class and I read it after he finished. At the end he put down,"The little mermaid turned into soup." I was surprised so I asked him where he read the story. I thought there must be another version that I didn't know. Weird but interesting. Then he said he heard it from the Chinese tape I played for him in the car. The tape said the mermaid changed into Pao Mo(bubbles). To my son Pao Mo means Yang Rou Pao Mo-I took him to China two years ago and that was his favorite soup so he believed the little mermaid turned into soup! We all burst into laughs!
