Thanks. It does not matter much to me whether the market grows 5% or 12% in the coming decades. I've enough money already.

If the money is still there, death won't stop it from continuous compounding, and if you don't use the money to enrich your life while still alive (just enjoying seeing the money grow), it actually does not make any difference between compounding while alive, and compounding after death. Nobody really knows which would come first, tomorrow, or a fatal disaster. Nobody guarantees the stock market would grow by more than 9%, it may as well grow only 4 or 5 percent in the next 20 years. You might be painting too rosy a picture.
