Harry Chapin's Cat's in The Cradle gives me goosebumps every everytime I listen to it and sometimes it makes tears falling from my eyes too. My father was murdered less than a month and a half before I was born, so I never meet him. I was raised by my maternal grandfather, but he passed away on September 19, 2022. Next day 19 will be 5 months. God stays with us all.

No father with sons can ever deny this song. I am 77 now, and my sons are 57 and 55. They are just like me—the good, the bad, and the ugly. To all fathers who read this—GIVE THEM YOUR TIME !!!!!

I was a military dad to 4 kids 30 years ago. They grew up without me. Now they're better parents than I ever was. Tears still run down my cheeks. Real men cry.

My mom made my dad listen to this when it came out. I was a little kid. My dad worked like an animal because he thought that was what he should do. Always worked. Never hung out with the boys or drank. My folks are still married now 56 years. I have listened to this AS a father and spent MAXIMUM time with my boys. That is what was important. My own father compliments me on this. My father is a good man. Now that my boys are older...I chase the money a bit. My high school wrestler son still kisses me goodnight. That makes me feel like a rock star. Thank you Harry Chapin.
