上邪！

我欲与君相知，

长命无绝衰。

山无陵，

江水为竭，

冬雷震震，

夏雨雪，

天地合，

乃敢与君绝！

By God on high, I swear,

My solemn pledges declare:

I will be with thee fore’er

Till no high hills remain there,

And high seas dry and bare,

Thunders in winter blare,

Summer the snows snare,

Earth burieth sky — I then dare

To cease my nuptial care!
