The ISM Manufacturing PMI in the United States increased to 61.1 in September 2021, up for a second straight month and above market expectations of 59.6. The latest reading signaled one of the strongest rates of expansion since 1983, boosted by solid increases in production and new orders, as well as a slight rebound in employment levels.
