A lot of people say auditing is the hardest part of the four. I personally saw a lot of different versions of the horror stories. Please feel free to post your experience, by the way, please don't post any CPA exam Questions!!!!!!!

At last, I passed the Auditing part after I tried 3 times.
Honestly, Auditing is most difficult for me. At the first time, I
think I review all stuff in book but left two charter in only briefly
reading. But I failed. Second, since I got job, I can not concentrate
studying. Third, I spent all spare time for auditing and do every
exercise and get understand every problem and mutiple choice. this
time I success.
Based on my experience, Do Not guess the problem that will appear in
exam. remember and understand every word in your textbook. do exercise
three times and do again shortly before the exam. Because when I taken
the exam, Some problems appeared in textbook are still tested.

Don't worry, it is hard becasue it is all memorize. Don't forget it will be no calculation on the exam. Remember it like history, if you are bad in history subject matters.............

1. Based on my past auditing section test experience,
Chapter3,4 are important, which are internal control & evidential matters, carry more weight on the test.
2. I feel Chapter3 is the most important one since it covers the internal control and rsk assessment, which are the core of entire auditing service, though I do not take exam yet :-)

Hey, dont worry about that you didnt take the class in US. We took the class and didnt learn anything either. Also, one of my friend in Vermont just sent me an email and she passed AUD without taking the class in US. So.....we are all the same!:)

dont worry about you took class or not.I took the class but can't not get any useful infor from the grandpa. when he was talking one sentence, he was forgetting what he was talking about, then asked us, what i am talking about? what is why AUD is a big pain for me. So when he is the advance accounting class teacher, I did not take the class at all. and pass the FAR. but I am not so lucky on AUD.. Anyway, good luck..

So I worked it again,but second time I am good on MC but not simulations. so, dont give up any questions, be careful when you are reading on exam questions.dont miss any information( i missed a very important info on simulation for second exam,that is why i need few marks to pass it.)

I will take AUD on May 29th. We can have a study group here. But I have to say that I do not have any audit experience and have never had any audit class in US. :P Basically I know nothing about audit. Didn't you guys realize that Becker AUD book is thin compared to other section.

Thanks for your help! I feel the research part on exam is much more information than the backer software. ONe of my friends she pass it and said it is too difficult to locate them,the same as I felt on the testroom. Now I understood....

Sorry! I was busy at work and have not visited here for a while. I would like to share with anybody here my own personal experience of preparation of Audit. First, be familar with hot topics, you can either go to yahoo group and cpaforum, there are tons of discussion. Also, I went through five times of Becker review questions, if you do not understand , memorize first. Then after few turns, you would grasp well. The last one, I want to mention is that the research. I believe that everyone registered the exam, you have free acess to aicpa database. Try to reseach there, instead of Becker. I practise couple times of my audit part, I was able to find lots of information that I need for my memo. But for Far part, I ran out of time and did not do any reseach practise, I could not research anything while taking the test.
Last not least, CPA exams are not hard and every one here is pretty smart. So believe that you can do it and pray a little. You will be the winner.

"information " is the part for the text, on the fail report paper, they will tell you which part you are stronger,which part you are weaker. For example, internal control, planing and supervision. information is one of them.

I had pretty bad experience with Auditing exam. Depite of spending lot of time on studying and preparing, which I think I should, everything goes smooth at exam site except last research section. Dont give me wrong, I dont have problems on researching the topic, the difficulties are how to paste it. Everytime, I can only paste one paragraph, for the second paragraph, the computer couldnt let me do it. I still think if I got research points, I will pass audit part then since I was so close... Anyway, got to do it again, retake it...

Anyone took AUD? I will take REG, AUD( I failed on AUD 2 times. it really killed me, I am very upsad about it.) Anybody can give me some suggestion about AUD?
