回复 '京华人' 的评论 : 托翁的作品中有许多《圣经》的引文，不太容易理解。记忆中，作者在《复活》的每一个章节起首都引用了一段《圣经》中的话，至今记得作者曾经引用过《马太福音》：
第21节：彼得进前来问耶稣：“我弟兄得罪我，我当饶恕他几次呢？到七次可以吗？”
第22节：耶稣说：“我对你说，不是到七次，乃是到七十个七次。”
很多年以后读到了德语的原文：
21 Da trat Petrus zu ihm und sprach: Herr, wie oft soll ich meinen Bruder vergeben, der gegen mich sündigt?
22 Jesus antwortet ihm: Ich sage dir, nicht bis siebenmal, sondern bis siebenmalsiebenmal!
时至今日都没有完全理解这些话的真正含义。
