1992年就结婚，历经13年，宋祖英与丈夫罗浩的结晶才在2005年9月迟迟到来，3700克重的大胖儿子出世，母子平安。宋祖英的丈夫叫罗浩，长沙人，是《雍正王朝》、《走向共和》等经典剧集的总制片人。两人相识于1988年的湖南省青年歌手大奖赛，当时宋祖英是参赛选手，罗浩是负责赛事转播的编导。经过多年相恋，1992年春天，两人幸福地走进了婚姻的殿堂。
