近日，美国空军推出了两辆经过深度改装并应用了空军科技的跑车，而美军打造这两辆跑车的目的只有一个，那就是他们打算以超级跑车巡游的形式吸引青年当兵。　　在美国，军队在征兵过程遇到的障碍早已不是什么秘密了。为了完成上级下达的征兵指标，各部队不得不采用各种形式的宣传攻势，美国空军想到了改装车这种全新的宣传媒介。当然，美国空军不会亲自动手完成这两辆改装车，它们的改装任务实际上是由加利福尼亚一家名为Galpin Auto Sports的改装厂商完成的。

道奇挑战者Vapor改装车

　　这两辆经过暴改的跑车一黑一白，珍珠白由福特野马X-1（Ford Mustang X-1）改装而成，黑色车由克赖斯勒（Chrysler）旗下的道奇挑战者（Dodge Challenger）Vapor改装而成。

　　在外表上，两辆车都以喷射战斗机的概念呈现，与其他经过高度改装的车辆非常相似，有着剪刀式车门、碳纤维组件和夸张的轮辋等常见的改装元素。不过，所有的玄机都在车厢内部。

野马X1

　　野马X1拥有一个像飞机驾驶舱一样驾驶舱，前排只有一个单座，方向盘被飞机操纵杆取代，完全按照战斗机驾驶舱布置。另外，车身四个轮眉处都得到了加宽，以安装你能够在市场上买得到的最大的车轮。野马X1的4.6L V8引擎还添加了充氮装置，最大功率可以达到500hp，就算飞不起来，看起来还真是酷毙了。

道奇挑战者Vapor

　　黑色的道奇挑战者Vapor看起来更加的凶悍，它沿用了双人战斗机的概念，低调的金属灰车身烤漆，接着又是惊人的内装设计，两张赛车座椅与两个方向盘设计，中央的排档杆已经换成了飞机推进器的操控杆，但汽车该有的煞车和油门都还在，更吓人的是这部车上还配备了导弹（伪？）！

　　道奇挑战者Vapor配备了一个KITT套装（霹雳游侠），不用说都知道比新老KITT都要厉害。由于主要应付夜间行动，所以它配备了红外线热成像摄像机和头顶显示器，整个黑色挡风玻璃就是一个屏幕。仪表台则是一个由三个LCD屏幕组成的控制台。另外，它还安装了两个超强的消声器以配合它在夜里小无声息的秘密行动。
