here's the conversation I had today at doc's office:

receptionist: pick up the phone, and call registration.

me: I lost my voice.

receptionist: Don't worry, just call.

I was standing in front of them as they telling me to call x-xxxx. I guess 3:40pm was too late for them to be working!

当时我失声了，说话用气音还疼得很。他们就是没有把病人的痛苦放在心上嘛。
