美国西部高空出现15米不明气球：军方出动战机拦截

据美国福克斯新闻2月23日报道，两名美国官员表示，美军在美国西部上空拦截了一个气球，该气球的来源和用途尚不清楚。

北美防空司令部称，他们与美国联邦航空管理局(FAA)合作，在4.3万-4.5万英尺（约合1.31万米—1.37万米）高度，探测到一个气球，并出动战机在犹他州上空进行了拦截。

北美防空司令部还表示，他们认定该气球无法机动，也不对国家安全构成威胁，将继续对其进行追踪。

此外，美国广播公司援引美国官员的话说，该气球高约50英尺（约合15米）。在判断不构成威胁后，美军对其进行放行。
