据外媒报道，8月28日，克里斯·马丁（Chris Martin）和酷玩乐队在弗洛里达迈阿密演出时，现场演唱了向休斯敦飓风遇难者致敬的新歌《休斯敦》，观众无不动容落泪。
在硬石体育场的演唱会上，40岁的主唱克里斯·马丁在唱响《休斯敦》之前告诉现场观众：“因为我们从小到大都热爱着乡村音乐，我们去德克萨斯就会想到它，这首新歌我们不会再唱，这首只唱一次的歌叫《休斯敦》，我们要为迈阿密在座的每一个人演唱，我们也要把它送给错过演出的每一个人。”
因为飓风哈维肆虐德州，酷玩乐队只能把8月25日的休斯敦演唱会押后。克里斯在宣布取消演出时说：“今晚我们真的很想演出，但看着新闻里飓风的消息，我们觉得不能让任何人冒着生命危险。所以我们只能延期。”
克里斯在《休斯敦》中唱道：“我们从迈阿密把爱送给休斯敦，我们祝福大家一切安好，挺过风雨。我知道没什么能摧毁休斯敦的意志，我们等不及重新踏上这片土地。”
