《情人节》故事发生在洛杉矶，讲述了10个人在浪漫假期里交相辉映的生活和爱情。朱莉娅·罗伯茨扮演一个美军军官，从伊拉克飞回洛杉矶；布莱德利·库柏扮演和她搭乘同一班客机的同性恋，他的爱人是一个未出柜的橄榄球运动员；阿什顿·库彻扮演一个花店老板，在向女友（杰西卡·阿尔芭）求婚过程中发现自己爱上了异性密友（詹妮弗·加纳），而后者则发现她的男友已经有老婆了；雪莉·麦克雷恩扮演朱莉娅·罗伯茨角色的母亲。
