美国电视最高荣誉“艾美奖”于9月21日揭晓，在剧情类最佳影集奖项中，AMC电视台《广告狂人》再度连庄，夺得剧情类最佳影集，本剧赛前一致看好，得奖并不令人意外。
剧情类最佳女演员部份，《金权游戏》葛伦克伦萝斯女强人气派的精湛演出再度夺得戏剧类影集最佳女主角。男主角则是在《Breaking Bad》中演出身患绝症，豁出生命制毒贩毒的高中老师，同样再次拿下最佳男主角。
而HBO电视台《Grey Garden》则在主要奖项中勇夺迷你影集类的最佳女主角、男配角及最佳电视电影大奖。相关第61届艾美奖主要奖项得奖名单如下：
