大儿子手捧遗像
清晨，八宝山殡仪馆东厅门前挂上了“沉痛悼念李文华同志”条幅，灵堂内还在忙碌布置时，姜昆、冯巩、陈寒柏、李增瑞、贾伦、王学为、刘全和、刘全利等曲艺界人士和歌唱家魏金栋等就已经提前赶到现场。早上八点，赶来参加追悼会的群众排起了长队，近千人送别李文华。门前，保安严阵以待组成人墙确保秩序井然。据工作人员透露，早上6点钟，就已经有群众等候在门前，有的人还特别手工制作了悼念海报，其中部分群众是专程从外地赶来的。八点半左右，广电总局副局长赵实赶来送别李文华，随后曲艺界人士常宝华、孟凡贵、唐杰忠、笑林、郑健、王玥波、李金斗、王文林、徐德亮、郝爱民、刘伟、宋德全、王珏、李建华、戴志诚、赵宝乐、赵炎等人也都陆续赶来。
上午9点，追悼会正式开始。灵堂内摆满了花圈，遗像摆放在灵堂正中央的花圈上。李文华安详地躺在绿叶丛中，身上盖着鲜红的党旗。家属守护在遗体旁，悲伤落泪，致谢前来送别的领导和群众。从灵堂走出来的人们都在感慨：“老爷子太瘦了，真顽强……”10点15分，李文华大儿子手捧遗相走出灵堂，李文华的小儿子陪同，女儿悲伤痛哭。姜昆代表李文华家属致谢媒体。他说：“我代表家属谢谢媒体，谢谢大家。李文华老师这一生，做人，做艺，都是我们的楷模，是我们相声演员都应该学习的。我与他合作五六年，这是我一辈子享用不尽的财富。”
曲艺界人士谈到李文华，无不称赞。常宝华称赞李文华是工人阶级曲艺家代表，德高望重，终于在去年拜师马三立门下，两人成为亲师兄弟。唐杰忠称呼李文华叫李哥、李大爷，赞他是“艺高人皆颂”。李伟健认为李文华的捧哏艺术非常真诚很难的，是值得年轻相声演员好好学习的。徐德亮表示会把手中李文华的遗稿整理出来。戴志诚感慨：“他的嗓子手术后发声困难，但还是很吃力地用断断续续的话与我们聊相声。相声界的老人走一个少一个，他们要是在的话，我们心里还能踏实点。”赵宝乐回忆：“李文华老师是名副其实的好人，很多小事让我们这些后辈记忆犹新。85年的时候李文华老师刚做完喉部手术，冯巩在广州拍戏，就把李老师接到广州散心，顺便客串一个角色。让我们没想到的是，李老师竟然悄悄地把全组的衣服都洗了。”
