7月31日，中影新落成的国家中影数字制作基地接待了首批到访的媒体和明星，在参观的混录室时放映了电影《梅兰芳》片段，从曝光的片段来看，主要以余少群扮演的青年版梅兰芳为主，黎明并未在片段中现身。《梅兰芳》整体服饰华丽、造型唯美，和《霸王别姬》颇为相似。

继日前高价卖出日本版权之后，陈凯歌新作《梅兰芳》又被韩国版权代理商抢先预购。4月28日，该片最大的投资方中影集团董事长韩三平与韩国艺家娱乐有限公司董事长李成珪签署销售协议，同时，汇集了详细剧情和大批剧照图片的该片精美画册也首次在媒体面前曝光。
