胶济铁路２８日凌晨４时４１分，Ｔ１９５次北京至青岛四方的列车与５０３４次烟台至徐州的列车在山东省淄博市周村附近相撞。胶济铁路交通暂时中断。目前，人员伤亡情况不明。
新华网快讯：来自济南铁路局的消息说，据初步调查，胶济铁路火车相撞事故已造成４３人死亡，２４７人受伤。
事故发生后，铁道部与山东省委、省政府已迅速启动紧急预案。铁道部部长刘志军立即赶赴现场组织指挥，要求全力救治受伤旅客。山东省委书记姜异康、省长姜大明等赶赴事故现场。
