4月8日晚，第7届音乐风云榜颁奖盛典在北京展览馆剧场举行。各路明星再次相聚在一起，角逐并享受音乐荣誉的大餐。作为内地年度最受关注、最具重量的专业音乐颁奖礼，此届典礼也是备受各方歌迷及媒体的关注。
毫无疑问，音乐风云榜是内地音乐类奖项中最具品牌气质的一个，在奖项已成鸡肋的大环境下，让人还保有那么一点求知的欲望。特别是此届“振.兴”的主题，也是正义感十足，不管这是不是一个颁奖礼应该做的，是不是一个颁奖礼能做到的，出发点还是值得肯定的。
至于奖项的结果，是最重要的也是不重要的，反反复复的颁奖礼，来来回回的那些人，不是他就是她，这里得意那儿失意确实让人审美疲劳。此届颁奖礼最终结果周杰伦拿下6个大奖(最佳影视歌曲、最佳男歌手、最受欢迎男歌手、最佳专辑、最佳唱作人、最佳影视歌曲)，羽泉带回4个大奖(最佳专辑、最佳唱作人、最佳制作人、最佳流行乐团及组合)，金海心梁静茹封后，胡彦斌周杰伦称王。超女走过场，张靓颖获风云大奖、最佳新人两奖，李宇春只获票选最受欢迎女歌手奖，未实现本质性突破。

1.另类星光闪耀京城四月天
下午17点，大批热情的歌迷聚集现场，彩球、条幅、荧光棒以及不同歌迷鲜明的打扮把现场装点得分外缤纷，眼神期盼、情绪激昂。
17点10分，星光大道红地毯仪式拉开帷幕，现场进入沸腾状态，特别是随着各路大牌明星的到场，在京城温暖的四月天下，上演了一幕明星粉丝大联欢的景象，热闹非凡。
作为一直以支持内地原创音乐为主旨的音乐风云榜，此届更是力求在主流音乐奖项中尽可能为内地原创音乐找到新的出口。而走上红地毯的明星除了李宇春、张靓颖、兄弟联、Super Junior等超人气偶像、团体以及苏有朋、吴宗宪、黄立行等港台明星外，新裤子乐队、AK47乐队、痛苦的信仰乐队、万晓利等平时不可能出现在主流颁奖礼上的音乐人也纷纷盛装出席，感受了一把明星的滋味。
而在粉丝后援队伍里，出现了一批“另类团体”，他们身着统一的海魂衫，拉着巨幅条幅“北京媒体怒爱万晓利”，以表达对万晓利这位执着的音乐人的喜爱和尊敬。可见小众歌手登上主流舞台并不是不好的事情，这个小剪影也成为本届颁奖礼的特色之一。
2.名单提前曝光 窦唯获奖
在颁奖礼前，组委会提前揭晓了部分专业奖项，专业奖项提前曝光赚足眼球。提前揭晓的专业奖项里，包括粤语类、摇滚类、作词作曲类、音乐录影带类、影视歌曲类奖项等。名单中，周杰伦凭借《菊花台》毫无悬念的拿走最佳影视歌曲奖，最佳音乐录影带被王力宏夺走。粤语类奖项王菀之、陈奕迅、黄耀明、泳儿各获一项。
最佳摇滚歌曲的角逐中，麦田守望者凭借《一意孤行》战胜提名最多的新裤子乐队；而最佳摇滚歌手则被窦唯夺得，这也是窦唯在此类颁奖礼中少数的几次获奖。可惜窦唯并没出现在现场。
3.摇滚奖项成看点
音乐风云榜是内地音乐奖中对摇滚乐及非主流音乐最关注的奖项，虽然此前几届在摇滚奖项的归属中出现过一些争议，也遭到过猛烈的抨击。但此届摇滚奖项仍然占有了很大的比例，在红地毯上，大批摇滚音乐人的出现也成为此届颁奖礼的一道风景。
摇滚奖项提前颁出了最佳摇滚歌手，由窦唯获得。而在现场颁发的其余摇滚奖项中，最佳摇滚乐队和最佳摇滚专辑都被老牌乐队新裤子和去年推出的大碟《龙虎人丹》获得，最佳摇滚新人则被拥有强大摇滚乐迷的新金属乐队AK47获得，台上台下摇滚音乐人及乐迷纷纷抱以了最热烈的掌声。这种舞台对摇滚音乐人虽然是陌生的，但更陌生的是大众对摇滚音乐及摇滚音乐人的认识，原因是机会太少。为此，不管奖项归属，立意起码是好的。
4.刘家昌爱国情感动全场
本届颁奖礼特别为终身成就奖获得者刘家昌设置了特别的表演环节，著名钢琴演奏家孔祥东独奏《独上西楼》，虽然中间被疯狂粉丝尖叫打断，但幸好主持人吴宗宪及时救场，孔祥东强调了表演的严肃性才平息下来。
当组委会宣布刘家昌获得终身成就奖时，全场抱以了热烈的掌声。上台领奖的刘家昌先生显得非常激动，他说这是他第二次获得这项大奖，前一次是在台湾金曲奖上，但那次领奖给他的记忆并不好，因为环境问题，在当时他发表一的爱国宣言让他处境危险。而此次来到北京领奖，完全是回家的感觉，也为此感到非常骄傲。一番感人的话语不禁刘家昌自己情绪激动，在场艺人及观众更是群情激昂，纷纷站立起来，给这位音乐家抱以最热烈的掌声，而这一段也肯定将成为此届颁奖礼最令人感动的瞬间。
5.大奖各归其主 周董继续耍酷
此届颁奖礼最重头奖项也是最让人牵挂的最佳男女歌手奖也成了颁奖礼最后的悬念。最终内地最佳女歌手被金海心夺得，港台最佳女歌手则由梁静茹获得。在男歌手方面，内地最佳男歌手被胡彦斌夺得，港台最佳男歌手被周杰伦夺得。
而本届颁奖礼最后的大奖“年度最佳专辑”奖由周迅和张亚东颁出，内地年度最佳专辑被羽泉《朋友难当》获得，港台年度最佳专辑则由周杰伦《依然范特西》获得。颁奖礼到这个奖也全部尘埃落定。羽泉和周杰伦成为此届音乐风云榜的最大赢家。颁奖礼也在李宇春《皇后与梦想》的歌声里落幕。
虽然此届奖项悬念不大，但终归是分量最重的奖，遗憾的是获得多项大奖的周杰伦仍然不卖面子，并没有出席本次颁奖礼，这从某种程度上也是颁奖典礼最大的一个遗憾。
