2025年5月下旬,这只熊再次出现在相机镜头中,塑料桶盖依然牢牢卡在颈部。6月2日,自然资源部工作人员设置诱捕装置,将其安全引入其中。诱捕成功后,工作人员通过注射使黑熊暂时失去行动能力,几分钟内便成功切除桶盖。黑熊苏醒后蹒跚离去。
野生动物生物学家安吉拉·库亚瓦推测,佩戴这个"不适配件"可能影响了黑熊的爬树能力。"它休息时应该更多采用仰卧或侧卧姿势。"库亚瓦说。
诺顿称:"我们非常惊讶,它竟能像普通黑熊一样正常谋生。"
