据Gothamist报导，6月3日至5日间，ICE在长岛的亨普斯特德（Hempstead）与自由港（Freeport）、以及上州威彻斯特县（Westchester）的新罗谢尔（New Rochelle）等地拘捕至少12人。这些人多为正在找工作的临时工，当时聚集在Home Depot周边等待雇主。
6月5日上午约8点半，ICE人员驾驶约15辆车突袭自由港地区的Home Depot，查问现场工人身份证件，无法提供有效ID的当场就被拘捕。据现场工人表示，执法人员来自国土安全调查局（HSI），他们封锁工人所在区域，逐一盘查证件，他本人因出示驾照才得以离开。
在亨普斯特德地区，当地工人表示，原本每天早晨聚集在店前等待雇用的临时工人数有80至100人，但ICE突袭后明显骤降至仅20人左右。
上州新罗谢尔地区也传出类似事件。据工人反映，6月3日当天共有四人被捕，分别来自危地马拉、塞内加尔与尼加拉瓜。
ICE与其上级机构国土安全部对此次行动未作出回应。尽管白宫日前宣布，因顾及经济影响，将暂停对农业、餐饮及旅馆业的执法，但未对大量雇用非法移民的建筑业作出让步。
目前尚未接获市区内有ICE突袭的具体案例，但据多个移民倡议团体表示，工人间已弥漫恐慌氛围，担心突袭波及自身。

ICE arrested illegals for deportation at a Home Depot in Hollywood on Thursday. A 37-year-old US citizen, named Job Garcia, obstructed the arrests and pushed one of the officers.
