美国此次约有1.5亿人投票，民主党总统候选人拜登已宣布当选，拿下7400多万票创历史新高，不过，总统川普8日在推特表示，「我们在费城和底特律这样的城市中，共有超过1亿张邮寄选票」。川普砲轰民主党「偷了他们必须偷的东西。」推文依旧被推特标记内容有争议。
川普认为，现在重点应该放在选票上，目前团队刚开始製表，美国的选举问题行之有年，这些指控包括了选民诈欺行为，现在宾州已经受到法官命令，强迫选务人员将截止日期之后才收到的选票给分开，这种事都需要大法官干预才能成功，但还有一大堆选票。
川普表示，若要谈论系统性问题，就牵连到这些选票如何进行身分验证，如果系统中存在著有关身分验证的问题，对整个选举将产生严重影响，「而且让我担心的是，我们在费城和底特律这样的城市中，共有超过1亿张邮寄选票，还出现了一系列的选举问题。」
川普强调，「我们相信这些人（拜登阵营）是小偷，大城市已经坏掉了，这是1次失窃的选举，就连英国最好的民调机构都说了，这显然是1次被偷走的选举，无法想像拜登在某些州的得票表现会超越欧巴马」，川普最后补充：「在关键的地方，他们偷了他们必须偷的东西。」
川普为了躲避推特审查，将文章上下颠倒并分开推送，不过还是依旧被推特标记「对于选举诈欺的指控是具有争议的」、「了解更多邮寄选票是安全可靠的」。
