在母亲腿间小憩的小企鹅
据《每日邮报》报道，在寒冷的南极雪山岛，美国摄影师琳达·德雷克抓拍到一组珍贵而温馨的帝企鹅照片。
成年企鹅小心地把自己的孩子放置在双腿间，用腹部的脂肪和羽毛盖得严严实实。幸福的新生小企鹅沐浴在父爱母爱的阳光下，似乎丝毫没有感受到生活环境的严酷。
据报道，帝企鹅实行“一夫一妻”制，雌企鹅产卵后即把蛋交给雄企鹅放在双腿间孵化。孵化过程中企鹅爸爸要站立4个月不吃不喝，仅靠一点雪水维生。孵出来的小企鹅由父母轮流抚养，直到三个月后羽翼丰满时才逐渐开始独立生活。
