在两岸三地享有盛名的歌手邓丽君1995年在泰国清迈因气喘病发作过世。今天是她逝世15周年忌日，邓丽君文教基金会今天举行邓丽君逝世15周年纪念研讨会，会场有相当多的影剧圈重量级人士莅临，包括台湾“立法院长”王金平、“立委”洪秀柱、帅化民和“新闻局长”江启臣等人也到场追思这位一代歌姬。
邓丽君昔日好友，包括知名艺人张小燕、锺镇涛、凌峰、张菲等人也出席研讨会，分享邓丽君的小故事。
据香港宝丽金唱片统计，自1975年到1983年，邓丽君在香港的唱片销售达500万张，创下华语歌坛的纪录。她的歌曲进入中国大陆后数十年，各种盒带、唱片及CD发行量更是不计其数。目前，在世界任何一个地方，“只要有华人的地方，就有邓丽君的歌声”。
