美国当地时间5月6日晚，《美国偶像》决出了四强，17岁的高中生阿伦 凯利在前一天进行的比赛中表演不够亮眼，最终获得最低的投票从而止步四强。

　　在前一天的Frank Sinatra之夜，并没有选手有让人惊喜的改编，五强全部老老实实唱爵士。当天的《美国偶像》也创下了2002年开播以来的最低收视率。主办方为了改变收视的颓势，邀请了Lady Gaga亮相演唱新单曲《Alejandro》。
