宋祖英的魔术表演给了现场观众一个不小的惊喜。
宋祖英玩魔术被错认
在上海八万人体育场举办的《魅力中国》演唱会所有舞台音响、灯光及演职人员全部从北京移师上海，现场舞台由无数块LED屏幕拼凑而成，屏幕随着宋祖英的歌声时而变得热闹喜庆，时而让人置身清新悠然的湘西茶园。一曲《茉莉花》拉开了本次演唱会，伴随着音乐身着金色晚礼服的宋祖英由台后缓缓登场。
为了配合世博会的主题，宋祖英还与“海宝机器人”合唱了自己的成名曲目《辣妹子》。演唱间歇，一身魔术师造型的宋祖英表演了魔术变鸽子。由于此前与周杰伦合作的《辣妹子》深入人心，加上周董也是魔术迷，不少现场观众竟将变魔术的人误以为是周杰伦，待发现表演者是宋祖英后全场惊叫声不断。
周杰伦送歌、频走调
继春晚、“鸟巢”合作后，周杰伦、宋祖英再次以“英伦组合”形式亮相。作为音乐会首位出场的嘉宾，周杰伦除了独奏古筝并演唱了《菊花台》、《双节棍》外，还与宋祖英合唱了《千里之外》、《天涯歌女》等歌曲。谈到几次合作，周董说：“每次与祖英姐合作其实心里都既兴奋又紧张，之前也一直在想什么歌曲在世博会举办之际演唱最合适。”
对于这场意义非凡的音乐会，周杰伦特地为宋祖英带来了一份礼物———由其作曲，方文山作词的《黄浦江深》。但不知是否真如周董所说的紧张，还是流行歌手功力稍逊民族歌手。周杰伦不仅独唱时声音沙哑、走音严重，与宋祖英合唱时更是完全被女高音完全覆盖。
波切利献唱《康定情歌》
首次与宋祖英合作的波切利，现场与其合唱了意大利文和中文混合版的《康定情歌》、歌剧《游吟诗人》选段《告别时刻》，并独唱了经典曲目《缆车》和《烈火熊熊》。
最后，在郎朗的伴奏下，宋祖英、安德烈·波切利和周杰伦三人合唱了苏格兰民歌《友谊地久天长》作为该场音乐会的结尾曲目，四人的同台献唱也将演唱会气氛推向了最高点。
