摩洛哥王妃拉拉-萨尔玛被誉为全球最美的王妃之一。一头天然蓬松的红发让萨尔玛独具古典美人的气质。

1978年5月10日，萨尔玛- 贝娜妮（摩洛哥王妃少女时代的名字）出生于摩洛哥古城非斯的一个中产阶级家庭，父亲是小学教师。萨尔玛-贝娜妮3岁丧母，外祖母把她抚养成人。

萨尔玛-贝娜妮以优异的成绩大学毕业，在摩洛哥最大的私营企业“北非投资集团”当了一名信息系统工程师。

1999年初，当时还是王储身份的穆罕莫德在一次私人晚会中，遇到了一头红发的萨尔玛-贝娜妮一见倾心，两人于是开始交往，直至穆罕默德开口求婚。

萨尔玛没有马上答应下来，而是提出了一个条件：自己只能接受一夫一妻制，如果穆罕默德要娶她，就必须摒弃摩洛哥王室过去“三宫六院”的习俗。

2002 年加入皇室后，成为穆罕莫德六世的王后，被尊称为“摩洛哥王妃”。
