　　有时，佩里托-莫雷诺冰河的冰墙会将阿根廷湖一分为二，湖水的压力会引起大块的冰体破裂。大约每隔四年时间，佩里托-莫雷诺冰河就会出现一次壮观的大规模崩裂现象。但是，去年7月佩里托-莫雷诺冰河意外地发生了一次大规模的崩裂事件，这是南半球冬季首次出现冰河崩裂现象。
