2009年12月10日晚，由《时尚COSMOPOLITAN》杂志主办的“2009时尚COSMOPOLITAN年度女性人物盛典”在北京举行。Maggie Q、李冰冰、徐静蕾、姚晨、小野丽莎、朱哲琴、李静、李湘、高圆圆、李少红、叶锦添等众多演艺嘉宾的到场，而首次出席女性盛典的孔东梅、吴小莉；以及作为评委和往届获奖人的杨澜、陈晓楠、王潮歌、俞渝、王秋杨等老朋友的出席也为典礼增加了色彩与热度。
震撼人心的表演环节成为今年女性盛典的一大亮点。朱哲琴、小野丽莎带来了难得一见的国际级表演。残疾人舞蹈家廖智的舞蹈，更让现场气氛达到了高潮。这位在汶川地震中失去双腿的舞蹈家，用她并不完美的身体演绎出最完美的舞蹈表演。她的青春气息，对待生活的热情深深感染了到场嘉宾，她的舞蹈也赢得了现场长久的掌声。
“时尚 COSMOPOLITAN年度女性人物盛典”到今年已经是第三届，今年的评选仍旧以“女性成就梦想”为主题。现场颁出了十个“年度时尚女性大奖”和五个年度单项奖。沈祥梅、姜杰、李静、廖智、严旭、李湘、朱哲琴、郭建梅、刘索拉、王莉丽等十位杰出女性脱颖而出，获得“年度时尚女性大奖”；“年度单项奖”则由Maggie Q、李冰冰、姚晨、范然、范欣分别获得，其中Maggie Q获得“年度时尚女星”大奖。获奖嘉宾涉及财经、文学、艺术、音乐、传媒等多个领域。
