2009年11月7日，韩国工会联合会在首尔的国民议会大楼附近举行大规模的游行抗议活动，总计有超过5万的韩国工人参加。韩国政府目前同意了组成多个工会联合会的提议，并且有意抑制退休工人的退休金的数额，这一做法遭到了韩国工人的强烈不满。
