著名词作家张俊以系前全国政协委员、全国青联常委、中央国家机关青联主席、现任两大集团总裁、中央电视台大型节目总策划及出品人、全国人才法制委员会常务副主任兼秘书长、中华慈善总会副会长。
曾当选美国《时代周刊》“全球十大风云人物”及被联合国评选为“世界和平大使”；在中华人民共和国设有中国政府最高儿童文学权威大奖“宋庆龄基金会俊以儿童文学奖”；他创作的《母亲》、《向天再借五百年》、《欢乐中国年》、《咱老百姓》、《月亮偷着哭》、《快乐指南》、《怎么HAPPY》、《你是幸福的我是快乐的》等五百余首歌曲唱红大江南北； 2001年，张俊以创作的《火种》、《永不分开，世界的爱》在海外多次获奖，先后荣获布达佩斯国际可视艺术节“最佳歌词创作金奖和最佳成就奖”及“中国艺术海外传播贡献奖”，2000年张俊以荣获德国新书和平奖，张俊以的作品已译成40多种语言出版，其中，中英文对照的丛书《红蜻蜓》、《树叶船》、《吹泡泡》等，本书荣获1999年美国外国诗歌独立奖，被美国哈佛大学和哥伦比亚大学收藏。
为表彰著名词作家张俊以为世界少年儿童文学创作取得的成就和他在国际和平事业和文化领域做出的特殊贡献。国际星座协会已将最亮的一颗蛇夫星座以“中国张俊以”的名字注册，同时，瑞典诺贝尔文学奖中国作家提名委员会，推荐了中国当代著名作家、诗人张俊以作为角逐诺贝尔的提名者，该提名委员会又征得200多位纽约、哈佛、耶鲁、哥伦比亚等大学的知名人士、教授签名支持张俊以的提名。
张俊以还是北京郑泰集团董事长兼总经理、北京生命之星医药集团董事长、《歌迷大世界》社长和《华人文化世界》社长。
２００２年１１月，以诈骗罪被捕入狱。诈骗金额惊人，从媒体铺天盖地般披露出的材料看，张俊以真是个彻头彻尾的巨骗.先以拉广告起家，后来越骗越大，成为一个“明星制造”.张俊以入狱后，冠以“张俊以作词”的歌曲均被禁唱
2005年，锒铛入狱的“词坛怪人”张俊以因表现良好提前释放，走入北京拥挤的人潮中，他在娱乐圈几乎消失。
张俊以入狱后，他旗下的企业并没有停业，一直在运营。“在狱中的时候我就每天读报，看《新闻联播》，了解国内国外风云变化，用来指导公司宏观上的调整。所以我的公司一直都处于稳定运转状态。”另外，张俊以还投资了北京的几所度假村和东北的两处油田，“光是东北的数百口油井，每天都是一到两万的收益，这都是我在入狱前就看好的项目，只是在坐牢的时候，由别人帮我进展计划而已。”
2008年，赵安获得假释又让媒体的目光聚焦在张俊以身上，此时的张俊以，身份在投资商、作家、文化公司老总之间潇洒游走，事业和财富远强于入狱前。
