田壮壮新片《狼灾记》改编自日本作家井上靖的小说作品，是一个真实和传说相结合的故事。讲述了中国秦代，在长城以北草原上戍边的秦军在一次和当地部落的战役中，捕获了一个女子，秦军统帅与她做了七夜夫妻，结果两人都变成了狼。影片中，小田切让和MaggieQ有大量缠绵悱恻的激情戏，尺度大胆。 片中小田切让与庹宗华的对手戏也颇有看头。庹宗华饰演的职业军人张安良，将小田切让扮演的陆沈康训练成杀人的工具，两个人也在军旅中成为患难。但陆沈康变成狼之后，却遵循狼的原则将张安良追杀至死。两个男人的命运因为未知的战争而被维系在一起，后来又被未知的因素引向深渊，两位性格各异的演员过招，将影片情节中的宿命感表达得淋漓尽致。

《狼灾记》是导演田壮壮准备了15年的作品。田壮壮还透露，这部小说是侯孝贤15年前推荐给他的。由于原著只有一万余字，田壮壮以此为核心，延伸出新的故事。“太难了！怎么拍狼戏，怎么出现性爱内容，我足足想了15年。”田壮壮感叹说，现在电影要上映了，也算是给侯孝贤导演一个交代.....
