小阿立(大儿子)决定大家最后再聚一次,餐后他们直接去小阿立嫂(大儿媳)的妹妹家。
印象兰州就在大华超市那个笑拼中心,我们从旅馆开车去比从家里来还要近。
我们早些到,可以先安排座位。

I also have type II diabetes, for almost 20 years, maybe even longer.
After initially taking medications daily, I saw a dietitian at the suggestion of family doctor. The dietitian (white lady) said: Chinese cooking uses too much oil and salt. Oil is No. 1 enemy of diabetes, while salt is No. 1 enemy for high blood pressure. I followed her dietary guidance very strictly: no oil for any cooking (Oil is oil, no good oil); No salt in cooking. 3 meals and 3 snacks daily. Each meal can have a small bowl of rice or noodle; a poker size lean meat (pork, beef, chicken, anything); a small bowl of vegetable. Each snack (in between meals) can have some crackers, etc., preferably no salt added. Both meal and snack should also include fruit, any fruit just control quantity. And my blood sugar became normal quickly, and stayed normal for 10 years or so. Then I gave in to the temptation of oil and salt, blood sugar became high again. ..
I used to love hand pulled noodles. Now it's totally out of the question because I have gotten Type II diabetes. Wheat noodles are prohibited because of its high glycemic index. Rice noodles are better so sometimes I would have a bowl of Pho
paired with beef or chicken. Some rice products are bad for GI too, such as rice cakes, sticky rice balls with stuffings. Anyway, pork plus wheat flour is just... not for me. So I never eat dumplings. Pork is forbidden for religious reasons, wheat flour for health issues. So if someone invites me to this restaurant, I can only sit there watching others eating.
