泰拳是泰国的国术，备受泰国人民喜爱，基本上每天电视台都会有大大小小的职业拳赛转播，而泰国最大的两个拳场伦批尼和呖乃隆，更是每个职业泰拳手心目中的圣地，能在这两个拳场比赛是泰拳手的荣誉。五位当今泰拳王挑战中国功夫的话题日前在网上爆炒。下面我们就去瞧瞧泰国一家专门教授泰拳的孤儿学校，这所学校里都是7岁到18岁的孤儿，他们每天除了上半天文化课，其余时间都是接受专门的泰拳训练。这些孩子们经常代表学校参加各种比赛，所获奖品都由学校支配。

泰拳以凶猛、强悍著称，现代泰拳手最常用扫腿、膝盖与手肘攻击。拳手通常从小时候开始培养，每天练习八小时，其中包括各种体能、重量、反应、技巧的训练，有些训练方法相当残酷，例如受训者将两手高举，教练会用旋踢踢受训者的两胁；或者用拳冲打，借以训练拳手的抗打能力。
