Part 2 Old Bridge Album
Coins and Goodbye

Story Behind the Song: Two university friends met on a quiet bridge in the old country, dreaming of a future far from home. He left first for America, and she followed a year later. After three long years of study, hard work, and saving every cent, he finally found her in Boston. With hope in his heart and just enough money to make the trip, he reached out to ask her out.
But her response shattered him. She told him he needed to rise higher, to earn the right to see her again. She hinted at someone else in Chicago. Though she was only 30 minutes away from his hotel, she never showed up. His call from the Boston airport was the last attempt.
This song is his letter, his lament—a love song written in the language of coins, distance, and dreams.
Title: Coins and Money
Verse 1
Counting pennies in my old tin can
Saving up to find you again
Got your letter from Boston today
And my heart just won't stay away
Working late, working early too
Every single dime is meant for you
Chorus
Every coin I save
Brings me further from home
Verse 2
Remember standing by that bridge back then?
Said we'd meet there once again
But your life kept moving on and on
While I counted coins until dawn
Made a promise I couldn't keep
Now these savings make me weep
Chorus
Every coin I save
Brings me further from home
Bridge
The money's here but time moved fast
Should’ve known this wouldn’t last
Called your number yesterday
Someone else had more to say
Pop Folk Bridge (Revised RAP)
Worked my hands 'til they were sore
Just to find you'd closed the door
He holds you now in Chicago skies
While I chase ghosts and old goodbyes
Counting dollars, counting days
Lost in love’s forgotten haze
All the hopes I tried to keep
Now just pennies in a dream
Verse 3
Gave my coins all away
To the shelter down the way
'Cause no amount of money saved
Could bring back those better days
Chorus
Every coin I saved
Just led me far from home
(Every coin I saved)
(Just brought me here alone)
