诸多报道称，位于Rutherford Road和Highway 400街区Tierra Avenue大街上的很多房屋受损，房顶被“撕掉”。1人失踪，很多汽车被大风吹翻。多达30辆警车和救护车赶至现场，但他们未透露具体伤亡情况。
亲历风暴的Jeff Carnavale说，当时天空就像爆炸了一样。“到处都是木头和灰尘，5-10分钟后，残骸才从空中落下。”降下的树木砸到电线上。
加拿大环境局(Environment Canada)提醒人们，风暴来临时要找地方躲避。另外，约克区(York Region)同样处于龙卷风警报下，受影响地区包括旺市(Vaughan)、列治文山(Richmond Hill)、万锦市(Markham)和纽马基特(Newmarket)。
目击者拍摄的录像和照片显示，旺市地区满空残骸，汽车、大楼受损严重。多个地方停电，多伦多电力局称，所有维修人员将出动，但是没有说电力需要多长时间才能恢复。
Ontario Place，Lake Shore Boulevard以及惠特比(Whitby)部分地区遭遇洪涝。皮尔逊国际机场(Pearson International Airport)数十个航班被取消。
Owen Sound以南的一个小城镇受损严重。杜兰区(Durham)Grey County于周四下午遭遇龙卷风大破坏。一商店几乎整个屋顶消失。数辆拖车被吹翻，一些房屋甚至被夷为平地。
目前处于龙卷风警报下的地区有Blue Mountain，Owen Sound，Midland，North Huron County，Wingham和Kincardine。
在多伦多市区，仅仅几秒钟的时间内，灰色天空中便降下瓢泼大雨，狂风不止。
