Steinhilber的作品绝对可以用疯狂来形容，他一开始所受的是图形设计师的训练，他认为美丽的图片是很重要的，尤其是明确有力而且能够清楚传达讯息的照片。在广告及出版业工作经过一段时间之后，Jan也与几个重量级的汽车厂牌合作。他说“我尝试去了解每一张照片的意义，甚至这只是一张个人作品，我评断我自己的每个作品，我会问我自己这张照片是不是清楚传达了我的想法。”想像力的力量渲染力是无穷的，Jan很好地印证了这一点。
