周璇——孤标傲世偕谁隐
在周璇版本的《红楼梦》之前，还有一个电影版本，那似乎是红楼影视的开山之作了。然而那部电影如今除了几张模糊的剧照外，很难觅得踪迹。尽管那个年代的拍摄手法、念白方式、语气语调、行为体态在今天看来都很怪异，但是静下心来欣赏，这位“金嗓子”的确塑造了一个美丽孤傲的黛玉。周璇不认识多少字，拍摄期间经常需要别人为其讲解，但她是我所见版本中傲气最足的黛玉。看来一个演员，什么东西都可以演，唯独这气质，是装不出来的。我永远记得黛玉吃了闭门羹之后，周璇的那个眼神，哀、苦，和那份掩不住的孤傲;也永远忘不了她一生气将书抛入水中那个动作，让我也同她一道感受到了那份心痛（是否符合黛玉的性格姑且不论）一首《葬花词》，一曲“风萧萧兮秋气深”，在“金嗓子”的演绎下可谓美轮美奂，感人至深。
缺点：脸若银盆，眼如水杏，完全是宝钗的形容。可能是在上海滩历练的太久，她的黛玉少了几分纯净，黛玉的诗才更是无从寻觅。

这个妹妹，是天上掉下的，是神仙似的妹妹。在林黛玉的众多扮演者中，王老师有着不可撼动的崇高地位。王老师的黛玉，最动人的就是那股仙气，只有她才当得起
“绛珠仙子”的名号。印象最深的一个镜头，就是宝黛初会。原著中不只宝玉说“这个妹妹我见过的”，黛玉心中也暗暗纳罕：“好生奇怪，倒像在哪里见过一般
”。然而遍览红楼影视作品，除王老师外竟没一位黛玉表现出了这一心理。而王老师通过凝视——回神——低头，竟活化出一个黛玉。越剧黛玉，有着天然的才情，只一句“绕绿堤，拂柳丝”，黛玉的咏絮之才便尽现无遗。
缺点：王老师饰演林黛玉时已经36岁，岁月无情，再高超的演技，敌不过一张青春的脸。然而36岁的黛玉却在所有的扮演者中摘得魁首，不能不让人佩服王老师的演技、气质以及对黛玉的理解。另外，越剧红楼梦始终是“小红楼”，它不能完整地展现黛玉的性格。因此所有越剧黛玉身上，风流婉转、才气仙气十足，但俏皮、伶俐、吃醋的感觉，确实不足。

陶慧敏——满纸自怜题素怨
1989年北影版电影《红楼梦》
夏钦(贾宝玉)、陶慧敏(林黛玉)、傅艺伟(薛宝钗)、刘晓庆(王熙凤)、何晴(秦可卿)、陈红(紫鹃)、赵丽蓉(刘姥姥)、林默予(贾母)
秋花惨淡秋草黄，耿耿秋灯秋夜长。陶慧敏的黛玉，是最让人怜惜的一个。她最大程度的表现出了黛玉的孤苦无依，飘零无着的感觉。黛玉葬父归来，她和宝玉流泪眼望流泪眼的镜头，让我也跟着鼻子发酸。
缺点：除了苦，还是苦。陶慧敏最擅长的还是小白菜这种类型。哀婉和愁苦绝对是两种不同的感觉，这点在王老师和陶慧敏身上得到了最好的印证。让人最摸不着头脑的是被比作戏子后，黛玉号啕大哭，不是应该生气么？不是应该斗嘴么？黛玉的伶俐劲儿完全消失了。感觉陶慧敏其实还是塑造了另一个小白菜而已。

张玉燕——秋闺怨女拭啼痕
这位台湾美女的名字很难打，是女字旁的燕。她的黛玉，哭戏可是一流的。张玉燕是台湾的苦情戏专家，有人戏言，倘若天旱，让她的影迷捧着她的照片在水库旁边哭，过不了一会水位就会上升。这还真不是吹牛，张玉燕哭起来真得很美，让人怜惜，心疼，想劝慰而又无从说起。就这一点，是很适合演黛玉的。难得的是她的黛玉也不乏娇悄的一面，打趣起人来，张玉燕的演绎还是很可爱的。
缺点：观众可以忍受黛玉的任何缺点，就是不能忍受黛玉念错字，尤其是“莫怨东风当自嗟”的“嗟”字。其实张玉燕满适合演林黛玉，但是她的美丽，太正常了，刻薄一点说就是太俗气了，并且总让人感觉像小家碧玉。而且，当一个说着台湾普通话的黛玉站在一个比贾环还猥琐的宝玉旁边时，红楼梦的美感，也就无处可寻。

张艾嘉——才自精明志自高
个人认为张艾嘉还是更适合探春。这位健康版的林妹妹实在不太有说服力，反倒是林青霞的宝玉和米雪的宝钗非常成功。可是张艾嘉身上的才气却是藏不住的。惭愧得很，第一次看她的林妹妹时，我还不知道张艾嘉是谁，但是总感觉这位不像黛玉的黛玉倒真是个才女。还是那句话，气质，是装不出来的，也是藏不住的。

单仰萍——胭脂鲜艳何相类
美丽，才情，哀婉，单美女占全了。最为难得的是，她身上有着那种大家闺秀的气质，这在别的黛玉身上很少见。因为女孩子一旦哀愁，或者吃醋，就容易显得小气，但是单仰萍却很大气。很多黛玉扮演者被批评的主要原因都是“小家子气”，单仰萍那种天然的大家闺秀气质便尤其难得。单美女的扮相更是充满了诗情画意，美不胜收。
缺点：俏皮，还是俏皮。这是整部剧的问题，不是演员本身的问题。个人认为除去这个，单美女的黛玉是相当成功的。

不知道导演当时从哪里找来这位学昆曲的妹妹，整部越剧电视剧30集，非常好看，钱惠丽的宝玉，赵海英的宝钗，何佳怡的凤姐，都演得出乎我意料的好，但就是林妹妹的扮演者，一副漫不经心的样子，整部剧表现得像白开水一样，找不到一点黛玉的感觉。不过,这位妹妹的眼睛很媚,当年迷的人七荤八素的.
这一版的片头,尾词也很不错.

只见过剧照，没看过全剧，也没兴趣看，因为觉得，实在不靠谱.这恐怕是制作得最粗糙简陋的一版《红楼梦》了,服装造型、布景以及剧情改编都极尽粗糙简陋,而且只有短短5集.伍卫国演宝玉时23岁,吕有慧演宝钗时19岁,这两位在年龄上还是比较合适的,可是神形皆不似宝玉和宝钗.汪明荃演黛玉时28岁,超龄太多,而且感觉神形皆不似黛玉,以汪明荃的气质以及当时的年纪,演王熙凤还比较合适.这个发型和衣服真是土气难看啊,而且汪明荃演得面无表情,大家可以看出,这些图片里汪明荃的表情和眼神都是木然的,全无变化.
