酒后吐真言

在Bahamas 的最后一天, 刮起了大风, 打乱了我们要出海的计划。几个老爸只好喝酒去了,结果喝成这样回来了。

That morning, the winds were blowing with such intimidating force and they crashed H's(团长) ambitious schedule for the day.  I was actually a little relieved knowing that I could now lie down next to J and had a nice nap under the sun.

In the afternoon, four of us wanted to find something to do.  Like most people, when it is free, you tend to consume more than you usually do.  And that’s how we took advantage of the “Love Cards” (Unfortunately no love was felt or madeJ). It then became obvious a couple of Martinis had exceeded the usual limits of this nerdy crowd, except for maybe M.  But the bright side was that we didn’t have to worry about if the Vodka was genuine or not---like we did in a Karaoke bar in China .

Then this drunken bunch attempted to walk a straight line along the shore; somehow we found fun by taking the merciless poundings from the ferocious waves---there’s definitely a sense of audacity (or stupidity) emboldened by the alcohols.  L was really talking, but since he always does, I wasn’t sure it was just him or the M.  But the strenuous tides were just wonderful.  One moment, I felt like one of the infinite sands, being washed and pushed away day in and day out without a fight; the others, I was the Hercules who dared to stand up to the frothy-mouthed monster and declared: bring it on, bitch!  Let’s see what you are made of.

All of a sudden, I sort of understood why some writers, or whom we Chinese called ‘perfectly healthy whiners’ loved to write about the sea.  OMG, have I become one of them?
