A wonderful world ?

一位叫Burton Hills的作家有这么一句话: Happiness is NOT a destination, It is a method of life.
Different person thinks about it in very different way.

Some people think about it with a very serious attitude, or even with somehow painful concerns about our human species and its society, emotionally and mentally. Aldous Huxley and George Orwell are two examples.

To my understanding of Aldous Huxley’s understanding described in his book Brave New World Revisited published in 1950s, we have been gradually transformed into AUTOTOMA or SUBHUMAN due to the accelerated treadmill-style development of our advanced high-tech, which is just one part of our human achievement in our so-called the history of human civilization we should always be proud over any other species -- we our human being can conquer and overcome everything, but forgetting the only owner of our temporary apartment - our earth.

Another indispensable opinion from him is that any person who appear not happy is considered as a poor guy or girl with no flexibility or no ability to adjust him- or herself to THIS society, and they could be eliminated as a loser through the selection by our society.

He maintained, however, that the very majority of people (the deindividualized group) who can adjust themselves very well and feel happy everyday are actually the very autotoma or subhuman group under such an abnormal society, because their normal sensations (e.g., pain, worry, anxiety, depression, hatred, passion) as a normal individual have been weaken or even lost. Well, to my understanding with an analogy, he may agree with me that it would be more dangerous if our normal immune system gradually lost its function to sense and respond to the invasion of foreign species, like HIV, for example.

If you are a NATURALLY happy person like my LP, congratulations. Otherwise, trying to be what you are might not be a bad idea, at least it boosts your immune system.
