Is a fake apology going to make anything any better? Who is supposed to apologize? What is there to apologize for? No one even knows what happened and hundreds of people have been doing everything possible to try and find out. Sometimes there just are no answers.

They are going to get the same amount of money no matter how much show boating they do. I have a feeling no matter what the Malaysian government does the families will wrongly try to hold the them accountable. However, the government is not liable for this tragedy.

I have flown on many SAR missions and the families don't have a clue. They complain when they are given information that is different than what they were told earlier but ignore that is BECAUSE they are getting the latest information. I understand their pain, but I don't really know what else could have been done?
I read an article saying that the gov't was inconsiderate b/c they sent texts to the family on updates, but then I read that the families' signed up for that service. Other than that, what are ppl complaining about that could have been differently?

I did not read the article. This was a horrible tragedy and I agree with one of the other posters. Apologize for what? The plane went down. The mystery with today's technology that

personally, i don't think they deserve an apology! now, don't be mislead by my comment. i am saddened by this incident, and i truly send my prayers to all of those involved and their families. i just think how can you give an apology for something that they do not know what has happened? do you really think that any normal person, government or not, would actually hold back anything of this magnitude? maybe i am naive to this, but i have rest on my on convictions.
