Hall is right:我觉得主持人是在调侃或者开玩笑，没有必要太在意。另外我们国人的职业歧视意识太强了，觉着在餐馆工作丢人，其实靠劳动吃饭不丢人。My professor always say he was a waiter when he was a college student. If we ask someone if he is a waiter, is it offensive? absolutely not. the problem is 我们国人的职业歧视意识太强

I agree with hall's comment. Sometimes we may need a little bit relax and have sense of humur. We shouldn't look down the work in a restraurant. We work hard and should be very proud of that. Have you seen any Chinese immigrants on the street to ask for money?
