说实在的,很敬佩那些搞极限运动的人,也同情他们为此而死,仅此而已。
俺木有鸿鹄之志,俺想活着,让家人不难过,做力所能及并相对安全的运动就好,比如走走路,爬爬坡(谁都可以去的那种山),打打球(乒乓比铅球安全),跳跳舞(韵律比钢管安全),淡定比疯狂安全哈!俺选安全!.....勇敢者? not me....

Totally agree all your opinions! What Chinese lacks in spirit is "running risks". It's culture issue. I do repect those adventurers. Wish them rest in heavenly peace.
Most Chinese Americans here are still enjoying shopping, cooking, fashion and entertaining as they were before in China. While more " native-born " Americans love sports, great outdoors, and all kinds of adventure. And the young generation of both get great influences in a very different way too.
Well if she was climbing Mt Everest without the oxygen tank, she knew that she was taking a HUGE risk; therefore, there was no one to blame. The climbers would have to protect themselves first. That has always been the rule.
