It's very easy to identify whether a person is citizen or not. Policemen all have laptops in the cars. Typing in SSN, immediately know everything about you.
I knew this gonna happen 20 years ago. So I decided to quickly turn from green card to naturalization. I joined the Army and got citizenship within a year. It's never safe to be a permanent alien.
