你在《华盛顿邮报》上的文章的题目是: We Asian Americans are not the virus, but we can be part of the cure. 你的题目应该改成: Nobody is the virus, but everybody can be part of the cure.

你说好几个月前在新罕布什尔州有个teenager从车窗里朝你喊"Chink"。你当时的唯一反应是在想， “Well, I’m glad that neither of my sons was around because then I might have to explain to them what that word means.” 除了庆幸你的儿子们都不在旁边，因为那样的话你可能要跟他们解释这个词的意思以外，你有想过要拿出手机去给这个teenager和车牌拍照或录像，然后报警吗？你回家以后可以大大方方地向你的儿子们解释那个词的意思，然后很自豪地告诉他们你是怎么对付种族歧视的。

你在文中提到UCLA女篮华裔球星Natalie Chou。她说过她穿上UCLA的队服后感觉更好，一部分是因为联盟会让人们想到她是美国人。但你没有提到她在Twitter上说过用"Chinese  Virus",  或"kung-flu"来说coronavirus 不仅是种族歧视，还是危险的。

你接着讲述二战时，日裔美国人是如何模范表现的。"Japanese Americans volunteered for military duty at the highest possible levels to demonstrate that they were Americans." 平心而论，中国有故意要把新冠病毒传到美国吗？从1月23号在大过年前，中国把相当于纽约和芝加哥人口总和的武汉lockdown了2个多月，全国各省市也是高度戒备，严阵以待。中国人民付出了那么大的代价为全世界争取时间，但全世界都没珍惜。这是一个迟早会在世界上某个国家先爆发的世界性的大瘟疫，我们没有理由因此而感到羞耻。.

然后，你进一步指出我们亚裔美国人"need to embrace and show our American-ness in ways we never have before. We need to step up, help our neighbors, donate gear, vote, wear red white and blue, volunteer, fund aid organizations, and do everything in our power to accelerate the end of this crisis." 在大疫当前，亚裔美国人的表现是有目共睹的。有奋战在一线的亚裔医护人员，亚裔救护人员，亚裔警察，亚裔消防员，有无数的以各种方式的捐款捐物，以及无数的志愿者。更多的亚裔是严格遵守stay-at-home指令的楷模。Vote已经暂缓了。绝大部分时间待在家里，就不用穿红白蓝了。以后出门的时候，不管你穿不穿红白蓝，那部分歧视你的人照样会在骨子里歧视你，不歧视你的人不会因为你的穿着而歧视你。

最后一段，你写的是: "Demonstrate that we are part of the solution. We are not the virus, but we can be part of the cure."  不对。我们不需要证明，因为没有人是病毒，每个人都是解决这个问题的一部分。
