我觉得何教授应该用or，比用and更贴近转折的原意。
我觉得现场翻译应该是口语化一些，简洁一些，他们俩个的翻译都太书面化太罗嗦了。俺不揣冒昧，试试翻译：Whatever be appreciated or be criticized, ultimately, history will judges.
