how cruel could humans do in European history? beaten slavery, public execution with gullitine, spilling the blood). I always love roman empire history, and i found this good movie of pompeii ;-)
Forget the acting. Forget even the simplistic writing....this movie is telling us some very historically interesting. People were scheming, plotting, and even murdering without reservation because the idea that all their labors would be in vain never occurred to them!
1) Pompeii 1984 https://www.wenxuecity.com/groups/bbs.php?act=bbsview&gid=2980&basecode=287286 The City in Naples, Italy: 1834 Novel, 6th Century, beaten slavery hierachrosy, murder Christians. the final chapter Pompeii the city of sinners Praise the lord for saving His servants
Beautiful ending ever ,praise our God is reign on high .will feature the eruption of the city.
By the movie it all happened in some hours but the real Vesuv eruption process lasted several months and people from all empire had come to see it. Pompeii was pretty far away from Vesuv, so the city seemed safe. The tragedy struck when the cloud of vulcanic dust cloud meet the rain cloud, they were mixed and the dust just rained down to Pompeii. It covered all the valley Pompeii situated in. Probably the tops of houses remained out of the mush but it was pointless to dig it out so it was abandoned.
