The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson Edited By Thomas H. Johnson.

这首诗的写作背景,意义,写作风格和韵律,节奏是什么( Please assist me in comprehending this poem concerning its compositional context, significance, literary technique, as well as its employment of rhyme and meter).

它会说:‘Yes, your sentences are grammatically correct and convey your message clearly. However, to enhance the flow and readability, you might consider a small adjustment。

The past few years have seen a remarkable transformation due to the outbreak of the Covid epidemic. Our lives became confined, resembling birds in a cage, with our interactions limited to parks and occasional museum visits. Parties, restaurants, movie theaters, and even department stores became distant memories. However, a refreshing change arrived when I finally shed my mask, journeyed to Portland, and relished a semblance of normalcy for almost two months.

I rekindled the joy of socializing with friends:

A delightful group of sixteen of us embarked on an exploration of street dreams by visiting mansions, followed by a delectable sandwich feast at a Vietnamese restaurant. Eventually, the moment arrived when I savored the sandwich that had tantalized my taste buds and left an everlasting yearning – the renowned "Best Baguette Special," a classic Vietnamese masterpiece. This delectable creation boasted a medley of flavors, featuring pate, thinly sliced premium ham, savory pork rolls, and an intriguing addition of head cheese.

With a congenial friend we had a scrumptious meal of lobster benedict and crepes adorned with fresh berries at Gracie's.

An evening with Luke's newlywed friend unfolded at Osaki Sushi & Hibachi, a charming Japanese restaurant. Just before departing, Luke and I savored another Japanese culinary experience at Ikenohana.

A picturesque escapade to the Vancouver farmers market and the tranquil riverside, accompanied by a close friend and her mother, culminated in a delightful meal at the Wildfin American Grill overlooking the river.

On the occasion of the Fourth of July, Randy and Donella joined Luke and I for a meal at Sam's Pizza, a rare dining option since most restaurants remained closed.

My role as a host shone through as I organized three memorable gatherings. The first welcomed Randy, Donella, and Wendy; the second hosted Luke's friend Zack; and the third consisted of a warm lunch party with four Mexican workers from Clear Vision Co, who played a pivotal role in replacing our roof.

In addition to this culinary triumph, I embarked on a delightful blueberry-picking escapade, indulging in the simple pleasure of gathering nature's sweet treasures. To further enhance my gastronomic experiences, a thoughtful friend sent me an assortment of freshly harvested vegetables from her garden, adding a touch of wholesome goodness to my meals.

I also immersed myself in various enriching experiences:

I indulged in the cinematic brilliance of "Oppenheimer," a contemporary blockbuster.

My curiosity led me to the Rice Northwest Museum of Rock and Minerals, a captivating journey into the Earth's geological wonders.

I reveled in the breathtaking beauty of the Rose Garden, making not one but two visits. The charm of Pittock Mansion also left an indelible impression on me.

Photography escapades with Luke brought us to mesmerizing locations like Commonwealth Lake Park, Fernhill Wetlands, Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge,Sauvie Islands, and the Steigerwald National Wildlife Refuge.

The vibrant festivities of the Chinese Festival and the enchanting melodies of Portland Opera's A LA Cart street concert added an artistic touch to my days.

The strains of a song titled "I Always Wait for You," performed at a serene guitar and saxophone street concert, found their way deep into my soul. Even after so many years of departing from Portland, its memory remains etched within me. As I wander through the heart of downtown Portland, a feeling envelops me – it's as if every blade of grass and every rustling tree whispers in unison, carrying a message of longing and nostalgia, saying, "We miss you." The cityscape becomes a symphony of sentiments, a reminder of the cherished moments and connections that continue to resonate in my heart.

Indeed, life blossomed with an array of activities, creating a tapestry of joy and fulfillment. Just as Rabindranath Tagore at "Life is Beautiful" said :
"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky."

Your final version of the paper looks beautifully composed and captures the essence of your experiences and emotions. It reads well and provides a vivid picture of the various activities and moments that have enriched your life. The inclusion of the quote by Rabindranath Tagore is a wonderful touch, adding depth and resonance to your narrative. Overall, your paper reflects a heartfelt journey and a celebration of life's beauty. Well done!
