Just to share with you some photos of my 14 day trip in Iran. the first 4 photos are in Tehran, one of them is the traffic congestion I took on the famous leisure place in Tehran: Tabiat Bridge. the rest are in order of the places we went in the cities of Kashan, Esfahan, Yazd and Shiraz.
We were a bit disappointed when we arrived in Tehran, it was just so crowded and people seemed not as nice as Rick Steve's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYoa9hI3CXg&t=927s. But our impression totally changed when we arrived in Kashan, a small city but with many historical places: stunning houses built in 18 and 19th centuries, with absolutely amazing details and lavish layouts. There is also a colorful bath house built in 16th century, and a famous Persian Garden (Fin Garden), both are wonderful places for photos.
Esfahan is the city with Imam Square, the 2nd largest square in the world. The square is surrounded with historical buildings built in 17th century such as Shah mosques and Ali Qapu Palace (beautiful structure and interior decorations).
In Yazd, we visited the old town which was firstly built in B.C 300, and still resided by local people, we were lucky to see people coming out from the old mud houses, in Chador.
Shiraz I think is the most beautiful city in Iran, we visited the colorful Pink Mosque, the famous Persian Poet Hafiz's tomb, and Persepolis, the capital city of old Persian empire 2000 years ago. In Persepolis, we met an Australian woman who is from Perth married to an Iranian, as you can see in the album.
Under the economic sanctions for so many years, ordinary Iranian people are trying to make ends meet, but I must say that Iranian people are very friendly and hospitable. They especially very much like to take photos or pose a photo with "foreigners ". :)
In the end of the album, I also included the Iranian food, which is various kinds of kebabs. It seems like every restaurant in Iran offers the same menu: kebabs with different kinds of meat (exclude pork), charcoaled tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, and salad. Last three photos are Italian foods we had in the 5 star hotel in Shiraz: As far as we know, there is no other kinds of restaurant in Iran, except Iranian and Italian:)
So it is my trip to Iran, hope you enjoy the photos as I enjoyed the trip.
